UTHealth School of Nursing
The University of Texas School of Nursing, one of six schools of The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), is dedicated to improving the quality of care and the health and well-being of individuals, groups and communities by: educating professional nurses as clinicians and scientists; discovering and translating advances in the biomedical and social sciences; and modeling best practices and innovation in clinical care. It is the highest-ranked nursing graduate school in Texas and among the Top Five Percent in the U.S., according to the 2012 edition of America’s Best Graduate Schools. The UTHealth School of Nursing, located in the heart of the world-famous Texas Medical Center, graduates an average of 180 new nurses and 140 nurses with graduate degrees each year. More than 8,245 nurses have graduated from UTHealth since 1972.
