Nursing education programs at the Fayetteville campus programs began more than 30 years ago with initiation of the associate degree program. To meet society's needs for a more highly educated nurse, the faculty developed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program in 1992. The BSN achieved its goal of enrollment growth by admitting twice a year. Another milestone achievement is the charter Master of Science in Nursing class that graduated in spring 2007. The program prepares clinical nurse specialists for adults with medical-surgical health problems. A nursing educator option is available for those interested in teaching.
