TWU College of Nursing

Welcome to Texas Woman's University College of Nursing!  Our Adventure in Excellence in the College of Nursing began in 1954 with the first graduates from the BS program in 1958.  Our focus is to continue to prepare the highest quality graduates of all our programs for the citizens of Texas and beyond.  As the largest College of Nursing in Texas, we prepare more new graduates ready to become registered nurses than any other program in the state. Our BS, MS, PhD, and DNP programs are designed to meet current and future needs of the citizens of Texas. With our highly qualified faculty who are outstanding teachers, scholars and clinicians, they continue to be the leaders in the state, in the nation, and internationally.  With over 13,000 alumnae, the College of Nursing continues to influence health care quality around the world. Our future includes plans for the proposed Institute of Health Sciences in Dallas with a projected completion of 2011.  Our newest building, the impressive TWU Institute of Health Sciences-Houston Center at the south gateway to the world renowned Texas Medical Center, is a state of the art facility.  Please visit our campuses located in Denton, Dallas and Houston to experience the quality of the faculty, staff and outstanding facilities. We look forward to meeting you!
