Thank you for your interest in the Patty Hanks Shelton School of Nursing (PHSSN). PHSSN is a consortium of Abilene Christian University, Hardin-Simmons University and McMurry University. We are the only intercollegiate program in the nation that serves three private universities, and it has become a model for other programs seeking to efficiently provide a high-quality professional program in nursing. Students complete core courses at one of the three universities, and then apply for admission to the Patty Hanks Shelton School of Nursing in the spring semester of their sophomore year. Admission to PHSSN is competitive and is based on grade point average, faculty recommendation, entrance examination and faculty interview.
As a student, you will have the opportunity for hands-on experience in more than 25 available clinical settings as well as classroom lectures to prepare you for a promising career as a nurse.
