The 2010 "Taking the Long View" conference will be held in Dearborn, MI on June 9-10. The due date for the Call for Proposals is Dec 1.

This is the eighth in a series of national conferences focusing on the nursing workforce.  This conference will address the growing crisis in our capacity to produce a 21st century nursing workforce that is adequate in numbers and prepared for the complexities of healthcare. The title of the 2010 Conference is "Nursing Shaping Health: Economics, Policy and Practice".

At this conference, you will join leaders and stakeholders of state-based nursing workforce centers to focus on measures for long-term nursing workforce solutions. Whether you are from a newly minted workforce center, an established center, or interested in transforming the nursing workforce, the conference will enhance your ability to start and/or sustain your operations and workforce development.
