The School of Nursing was honored to host Dr. Mary Wakefield, administrator of the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) AND one of our alumni, for a visit to the School last Friday. Dr. Wakefield was appointed to her position by President Obama in 2009. HRSA oversees many federal health programs, some designed to increase the number of health-care professionals in underserved areas.
