    Title:
    Another fun question for you!
    Content:

Let's pretend you are in your first nursing class and you turn in your assignment and recieve a D. Are you happy with that? If not, how would you go about complaining about your grade? Do you know how to go through the grievance process?

Even so this is a potential survey question, this is one that all of us should know for our regular courses as well. Let me know what your answers are or if you have any questions.

The information for appealing a grade is in the Student Handbook. The first step is to contact your course instructor for possible resolution. If this is not satisfactory, then the student must request the Appeals Dept. to open an official Grade Appeal. The appeal must be in writing and must include the written correspondence with the instructor regarding the grade as well as the response from the instructor. The appeal is submitted to appeals@apus.edu. The appeal must be made within 12 months of the official end date of the course. The appeal will be reviewed by the program director within 30 days and the decision will be forwarded to the Registrar's Office and the student.

I believe that is how it goes.....

That's very good. Actually I had a discrepency with a grade in one of my non-nursing courses and was able o resolve it with the instructor. Thanks for posting!

I would think first talking to the instructor to see if it can be solve befoe going to the Appeals Departement. But I did not know all the process. Thanks Gabrielle for posting such an important question.
