    Title:
    College of Nursing
    News:

Yes! We are now the College of Nursing.

When a school grows to the point that it has multiple departments and grants multiple degrees, the school can apply to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to be designated as a college. The University of Texas System and the Coordinating Board approved the change, effective immediately.

"It was a logical progression for nursing," UT Arlington Provost, Donald Bobbitt said. "Their growth over the past few years has been simply phenomenal."

UT Arlington College of Nursing enrollment has climbed by 79 percent since 2004 to more than 3,100 students in 2010 and confers multiple degrees (BSN, MSN, PhD and DNP).

This program has opened up many doors for me!  I am very excited about the program and can't wait to start The School of Nursing program.  The Academic Partnership program was an ingenius idea and I am thankful for it.

I am so glad the academic partnership is available so that some of us no longer have excuses for putting off that next step in the ladder!! I can work full time and still do a couple of classes every 5 weeks. It's great!
